Sadly, yet not surprisingly, two of the programs recently highlighted on this blog have been canceled or reformatted due to coronavirus concerns.

The 2020 Conference on Island Sustainability has been reformatted into a virtual conference, followed by a Guam Green Growth (G3) Festival to take place later this year.  More details can be found on their website.

The Bluecology Micronesia Youth Program has been canceled for the summer of 2020.  They hope to host it again in the summer of 2021.  Both of my daughters were very interested in this program, and my oldest had actually applied, hoping to make it one of her main research projects this summer.  My younger daughter is eager to apply in the future when she’s old enough, so hopefully this unique program will still be around for many years to come.
