The University of Guam will be hosting its 11th Conference on Island Sustainability March 31 to April 3, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Guam. While the entire planet is experiencing the impact of climate change and the need to build a more sustainable future, islands in particular experience many of these issues in a unique and dramatic way.
“As a matter of necessity, and even survival, islands are at the forefront of a global movement toward sustainability.”
The University of Guam, Local2030 Islands Network, and sustainability leaders from surrounding islands and the greater Pacific region will be in attendance and conducting presentations at the conference. Embedded within the conference will be a three-day training program for Kulo’: Emerging Climate Leaders designed for youth interested in making an impact in this field.
