Kuta, Bali with Kids

IMG_2042We had some Starwood Hotel points saved up, which we decided to use at the Four Points Sheraton in Kuta, Bali.  At only 4,000 points per night, it turned out to be a great value.  The hotel felt more like a higher end Starwood property with multiple pools, several restaurants, room service, and concierge service.  The breakfast buffet was fabulous with so many fresh choices and cook-to-order options.  My kids absolutely loved the lagoon pool that wound throughout the main portion of the property, and we were pleased with the fact that there were countless shops and restaurants surrounding the hotel.  It was also centrally located within a ten minute walk to the beach, and complimentary shuttle service to the beach was provided by the hotel.

We rented a surfboard for my 12-year-old daughter, so she could surf one day, but the waves didn’t cooperate that day.  That didn’t stop my daughters from enjoying gymnastics on the beach though, while my husband and I lounged in beach chairs under the shade of an umbrella.  The sunsets at Kuta Beach were magnificent.

The highlight of Kuta for my daughters was the High Flyers Trapeze School offered at the Bali Dynasty Resort, which we discovered thanks to a recomm
endation from a friend.  The Bali Dynasty Resort was a very family friendly hotel with camps and programs catering to kids.  My two girls would gladly go back for more trapeze fun.
