Pinkalicious Halloween

I love it when my children’s imaginations are inspired by books.  When I asked my five-year-old what she wanted to be for Halloween this year, she told me that she wanted to be Pinkalicious, who is the main character from one of her favorite books by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann.

I’m grateful that it’s a fairly easy costume to throw together.  She chose a pink dress from her bin of dress-up clothes.  We’ll add pink wings, a tiara, a pink wand, and any other pink accessories we happen to be able to find on hand.  We even have a pink rubber cupcake (which was a dog toy that I found at the dollar store).  I imagine that most of the accessories will be tossed aside (or more specifically, handed to me or her Dad to carry) when it comes time to trick-or-treat.

We’re looking forward to our Pinkalicious Halloween!
