Burning in Fire

A few nights ago at the dinner table, my six-year-old daughter told her father, “I’ll still love you even after I’m dead.”

Then she added, “…And burning in fire.”

    Amber, after some follow up questions, I realized that she was in fact talking about cremation in a very matter-of-fact and unbothered way, but of course we were initially as shocked as you by that sort of statement coming out of her mouth. Kids say the strangest things, and sometimes I just can’t help but blog about them.
