Weather Girl will be playing in Chicago at the AMC Loews Pipers Alleymovie theater August 21-27, 2009. Starring Tricia O’Kelley, Patrick Adams, Ryan Devlin, Kaitlin Olsen, and Mark Harmon, this romantic comedy is directed by Blayne Weaver. As the title suggests, the main character, Sylvia, is a weather forecaster for a Seattle morning show. After confronting her cheating boyfriend during a live show, she loses her job and her apartment, and is forced to move in with her brother while coping with the realization that she is 35, single, unemployed, and now infamous for her meltdown that was televised for all to see.
In addition to it sounding like a hilarious premise, one of the reasons that I am eager to see this film is because my friend Steak (and her company Steakhaus Productions) had a hand in producing the movie. So go see it! Now!

I saw it today, and it was a good light-hearted romantic comedy with a very human feel to it, featuring some sharp-witted strong leading characters. The acting was great.
Cathy, I can’t recall what state you’re in. Stu, I know you’re located somewhere in the U.K. The film has been and is going to a few different states here in the U.S., but I don’t think it’s making the international circuit. Perhaps look for it when it comes out on DVD?
