My husband and I took our two young daughters to the Brookfield Zoo today.  The weather was perfect, and we couldn’t resist an excuse to be outdoors.  We spent the day viewing exotic animals, many of which the girls had never before seen.  We learned a bit of interesting information about the animals’ various habitats and behaviors.

At the end of the day, we asked the girls what their favorite thing was.  Our seven-year-old recounted her experience petting sting rays and talked about the bats and snakes that captured her interest, while our four-year-0ld enthusiastically chimed in, “The chocolate ice cream!”
