OK, I didn’t even twig to the fact that Del Toro had written books. Clearly not paying attention. How on earth does he find the time?

p.s. I had so much fun at the lake — how lucky am I that you guys have a cabin in New York? As ever, it was wonderful to see you and Steve and the little chickadees.
p.p.s. Did the package I sent last week arrive yet? Please let me know when it does. (I hope it gets there before in time for T’s bday tomorrow. I posted it Thursday, so it should.)
p.p.p.s. One of the books in your review stack looks comically like the out-of-place thing on Sesame Street’s Guess-which-thing-doesn’t-belong-here game. Can you guess which one? Let’s see — Fairies, Vampires, Unicorns…and The Sexual Life of an Islamist.
On second thought, I guess it’s not so out of place if the theme is Mythical Phenomena. (Just kidding! Wouldn’t want anyone to get their burqa in a bunch, as it were. lol)
