My three-year-old daughter told me recently, “All my friends are dead.”
Needless to say, I was a bit startled at this revelation.
“Your friends are dead?” I asked, to be sure I heard correctly.
“Yes, all my pretend friends are dead.”
In the past couple of weeks, she’s resurrected her favorite imaginary friends now and then when she still wants to play with them. Then, a little while later, she happily kills them off again, ticking off their names and telling me they’re dead.
OH, that’s funny! Has she been watching too many shows on tv? (People die all the time!)

That’s how the horror movie starts. “sheee’s not here, Mrs. Damian….”

love it!
that’s the great thing about imaginary friends…they’re there when needed, and perfectly ready to be struck down and resurrected as the need dictates!

Zombie imaginary friends, maybe, or just remarkably resiliant ones?
