Greetings From Spring Lake

I’m back at the Spring Lake family cabin for our annual summer getaway.  My two young daughters were surprisingly agreeable for most of the two-day road trip on our way here.  They kept talking about all the things that they were going to do once we arrived.  For my oldest daughter, that included fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking.  My youngest focused on picking wild blueberries, mushroom hunting, and seeing her grandparents and uncles.  My husband gets a real kick out of seeing our kids enjoy camping at Spring Lake, the same way that he did each summer of his own childhood.

  1. sounds lovely. i just returned from similar with a whole lot more crammed in besides. it’s good to see family. something about continuity and generations that i could say a whole lot about if i didn’t have such bad road head. even days later.
