This is a statue found in Mirabell Gardens of Salzburg where the von Trapp children sang and played in the movie “The Sound of Music.”

I, too, fondly remember touring this statue in Salzburg. It was one of my favorite cities when I visited Austria. I did climb the stairs (yes, all of them!!) to the top of the monastery where portions of the “Sound of Music” were filmed. It’s still one of my all time favorite movies, made more memorable by going back to the place where it was filmed. Thanks for sharing this piece of history with us.
